  • light raisins 2 tbsp. l.
  • dark raisins 2 tbsp. l.
  • dried cranberries 2 tbsp. l.

How to make muesli bars at home

  1. Soak the raisins in boiling water for 5 minutes.

  2. I lightly fry oatmeal in a dry frying pan until lightly browned and a pleasant smell appears. I pour it into a bowl.

  3. I add cranberries, sunflower seeds and walnuts chopped into large pieces.

  4. I throw the raisins into a colander, let the water drain and spread it to the rest of the ingredients.

  5. I mix.

  6. I peel the apple from seeds and skin and rub it on a fine grater. You should get smooth applesauce. For the indicated amount of products, you need to take two full tablespoons of it. I add honey.

  7. I mix until a sticky mass is obtained.

  8. Grease baking paper with butter and line a 10x23 cm form (I filled out two such forms from the indicated number of products). I spread the oatmeal mixture and tamp it well. The thickness of the layer should be about 2 cm.

  9. With a knife, I make cuts every 4-5 cm, without cutting through to the end. This will make it easier to remove from the mold and make the finished muesli bars neater, because when the mixture hardens, it will be problematic to cut nicely without crumbling them.

  10. I put it in the oven, heated to 140 degrees, and dry it for an hour, every 10 minutes I open the door and release the accumulated steam, at the same time I keep an eye on it so that the muesli does not burn.

  11. I let it cool, then I carefully remove the paper and cut along the previously marked lines, I correct the uneven edges with a sharp knife. I spread the bars close to each other. I melt the dark chocolate in the microwave and use a syringe or spoon to apply it to the surface in the form of thin lines.

You can eat muesli bars at home right away, the chocolate hardens very quickly.
